A MIDSUMMER AFTERNOON'S DREAM WITH PETER LANGNER
In an antique clothing workshop in the heart of Milan's most fashionable district, Peter Langner has chosen a venue for presenting his new 2012 collections: a sophisticated atmosphere, flooded with soft white light, gentle dreams filled with beauty.
Compared with the last collection, which was dedicated to famous architects, the new collections give free play to Peter's imagination. This time he tells us of a fairy tale, fit for a princess, paying homage to great classical composers, all innovators.
The performance is a true concert of emotions that touches and soothes the soul.
Like in an orchestral symphony, the wedding gowns that Peter Langner proposes for the new season appear, ethereal and evocative, on a truly singular stage, consisting of platforms looking like white notes dotted around an otherworldly musical score.
A crescendo in the melody heralds the new PETER LANGNER collection: Verdi preludes alternate with Paganini minuets that give way to Rossini scherzos and Gentilucci fantasies. Then a toccata and fugue to Offenbach waltzes and the melodies of Scarlatti sonatas... and finally the notes of the sumptuous Tchaikovsky suites for the LANGNER COUTURE collection.
All beautifully harmonised in the key of G major on a scale of silk, lace and crystals.
