London has hosted 2 times. I understand that we (as a nation) have hosted a butt-load more, but come on England. We know you got more than one stupid city. What;s wrong with Manchester or Edinburgh? Or..uh.. Not-London. New York's had olympic written all over it and an Olympics in the worlds greatest, most diverse, largest city is inevitable. So have your little fun England. (but thanks for beating paris.)

it makes for a better tourism video than anything else.

it only showed one sporting arena. Yankee stadium.

they didn't put enough effort into the video.

@lordofwrath88 The British attempted 3 times to stage the games before the 2012 London Olympics with Birmingham 1992 and Manchester bidding for 1996 and 2000. They both failed. It was only Manchester's successful hosting of the 2002 Commonwealth Games that convinced the British to try again. London seemed like the logical choice being with the best infrastructure and all, but a slight set back was they backed out in hosting the 2005 IAAF World Champs cause they couldn't build the stadium for it.

New York, Chicago, whatever US city you come from give up your dreams of hosting the games. In America you have hosted the games too many times to remember that the rest of the world actually exists. So yeah London may have hosted the games twice before but the last time was in 1948, so lighten up. New York only got through ONE round of voting. London won all but one round so we have a clear winner!

London's metro area is called "greater london". lol.

It must have taken you a long time to read EVERY tourist book... the ones I own dont say it. Camden Dock and the west end are beautiful... cant really come from an american, a country that has one cheese, thats bright yellow.

Great London... sounds so much nicer than "New Yorks metropolitan area"... my god mothers door number is 12890... I was wowed at every turn.

Well, its a well known fact that London has terrible food. Most tourist books mention it in one way or another.

And yes, metro area. EVERY city has a Metropolitian Area. For London, it would be called "Greater London" as in, boundries that extend out of London itself, but still are counted toward total population.
