  • I'm sorry but when the dialogue goes to "how much money are you going to give me" the conversation aint going to go too far.

  • yo ancestors did own slaves. u aint digging deep enough. its going to always be like this cuz blacks will always be seen as niggers and monkeys (as i've seen a lot youtubers refer to us) yall see a video on here of some black people fighting and ALL BLACK PEOPLE become niggers for the video that pissed u off when every black person in amerikka was not there that day. we will always feel the effects of slavery because society just wants us to.

  • Even though he said his anscetors didn't. So stop making him the bad guy and make excuses to be an asshole... Do you know him/her?

  • Jesse Jackson a Tom??? What have YOU done for African Americans that can come close to comparing to what Mr. Jackson has done for his race? And what does being a Mason have to do with anything?

  • Jesse Jackson is such an Uncle Tom. Youre Boule, a 33rd degree freemason. swo stop playing us.

  • Now Dr. Julia Hare absolutely tells it like it is. She has the right recipe for turning schools around. She's absolutely right about things like the illusion of inclusion, special education, and the like. I really agree with what she has to say. She hits the nail on the head, not just for Black America, but all America.

  • That's not to say that things don't need to be done to help Black America. There is absolutely no doubt about that whatsoever. And you'll actually find that most white people understand that and believe that when society strengthens and betters the lives of its most underserved, it benefits everyone.

But reparations aren't going to resolve the problems or provide for long term solutions on either side. Let's find effective and fair ways to do the things that justice cries out to be done.

  • And it cannot happen the way that it is happening in NYC, where gentrification is pushing minorities out of neighborhoods.

I just don't like the idea of things being zero sum games. They aren't. But if you do financial reparations in lump sums to black people, it becomes exactly that.

Many white people are victims of affirmative action, and these are the people who would further bear the burden of reparations. They would justifiably vote those who enacted that kind of a reparation bill out.

  • The problems that I see with reparations is that it hurts innocent people for sins that they did not commit. If the government pays reparations, it will come from revenue raised from taxes. That's nothing more than a redistribution of wealth.

But if you invest in schools and urban areas, make them attractive places for all people of all races to be in and help people help themselves, it's a win-win situation for everyone- Black, White, Latino, Native American, Asian American- ALL people.

  • I know I'm not arrogant enough to say I will ever know what the pain of another race is. Neither would black people understand the pain that many whites have felt at the hands of affirmative action for many, many years now, and for sins that were not theirs.

But I can have empathy and want to see real solutions to the inequities that are present in our society. The best solution is to pay back the race in ways that will be sustainable, so that it can help itself for generations to come.

  • Obvious your not Afro American. Well

Dr. Julia Hare is not stating someone owes Afro Americans anything she believes in educating.(DR. Hare) You wouldn't understand the pain of another race .Were educating ,but the change for equality doesn't come as easy. Now if you look at the Holocaust , Jews are being compensated for the suffering of their ancestors and somestimes very well might i add. So education is the key for all
