Journalist and University of Virginia alumna Kimberly Dozier shares her experiences covering the Iraq war for CBS News, facing losses, severe injuries and recovery following the explosion of a car bomb that killed two colleagues and an American soldier. Now reporting for the Associated Press, Dozier continues to focus her attention on intelligence and counterterrorism stories, still venturing at times into high-risk areas.

In this Virginia Festival of the Book appearance, Dozier shares stories and passages from her book "Breathing the Fire: Fighting to Report -- and Survive -- the War in Iraq." Earlier this same day, Kimberly Dozier accepts the 2012 U.Va. Distinguished Alumna Award in a ceremony held at Charlottesville's Boar's Head Inn.
