Casey's Cause

This video was made in honor of Casey Marie Grant. She passed away January 25, 2007 from complication of ITP. This video was produced by Deborah Prewett, for a Girl's Night Out benefiting Casey's Cause, a non-profit organization created to spread awareness of ITP.

my cousin has ITP :(:( i luv her to death i hope she gets better she has it for while now but i really wanna knoe how you get ITP she was all fine untill her dad died even her mother died worrying about her i feel bad for ur casey i hope my cosuin gets better soon i hope doctors find cure of it soon as possible the real cure

ITP doesn't necessarily have to have a "cause". Sometimes, it just happens. I hope your cousin gets the correct treatments and goes into remission. Thank you for your kind comment.

i have itp im 13 my platles are 2 i have heavey bleeding n i fainted 2 times.. im going to great ormand street for treatment as i have had it for 2 years now :(

I had this disease as a child. I was the 3rd person every to have it in Newfoundland, Canada. I just got sicker and sicker, eventually I couldn't bend my knees, or later stand up. I spent 2 and a half months in hospital in a delirum. One day I just started to get better. I met one other child later who had it, as the doctor asked my mother and myself to drop by to lend support and hope. So sorry for you loss. I sympatize with what your child struggled through.

omgim very truelly sorry about your daugther..she was a beautiful lil girl!!and now that im looking in to ITP, cause my lil 1 year was just diagnosed with it yesterday :( im very sad idk what to do and after ive seen this video im even more scare... idk what to xpect... may lil casey look after my lil son..GOD bless your family

I am 13 years old and I had it for almost 6 years but then God healed me of it and I have not had any problems with it for almost 2 years now so I know how bad it can be I am so sorry about your loss I will be praying for your family! :)

I have ITP too. I was diagnosed while pregnant with my son. I know that what I have is dangerous but honestly, since having my spleen removed I have not taken it too seriously. Seeing Casey and being a mom wakes me up. I am so very sorry for your loss and may her story be a lesson to us all. I will never take a headache the same again. God bless you and yours.
