Right, the Hothaus graphics didn't come until around 2004. These were the 1998 graphics...WAY before that. Been looking for this open for a long time, thanks sanantonionewsman. Also, KDFW adapted the on-air parts of this graphics package for use for their 2002-2005 look (not sure if they had JC Burns do that package as well).
These HAVE to be JC Burns: see the WFTV identity and also WDAY in the late 90s-early 2000s. All of them are his work with that stripe effect.

Their graphics and WFTV's were done by Hothaus Creative, if I recall correctly.
