ATOS HEALTHCARE
================
As those unfortunate enough to have had dealings with this company will know, it's ATOS who are the outsourcing agents in carrying out 'medical assessments' on behalf of the DWP. The 'medical assessments' are carried out in relation to anyone within the UK claiming sickness-related benefits.
As the clip explains, genuine sick cases are being ruled as fit for work, whilst those abusing the system - because they know what to say and how to play the system - continue to get away with it. In other words, the EXACT reverse of what ATOS were brought in to do is happening instead.
So, why is this happening? Some time ago, New Labour said that 'not working will not be an option' (not unless it's New Labour!). How true these words were, but I don't think anyone knew he meant that even those who are obviously too ill will be forced to look for work - just so's they're able to live.
New Labour's well-known unrealistic outlook extends to kicking people out of wheelchairs and expecting them to run. The unfeeling and stupidly unrealistic treatment of the sick and disabled brought in as a bureaucratic system by the New Labour administration is unparalled by any so-called democracy.
But being that Mr Brown has not been elected as leader by the people of the UK, we can hardly call the UK a democratic country.
Worse yet, is that the media are actually in approval of this! And, the Murdoch propaganda has worked so well, that it is the sick and disabled who have been made out to be the villains in all this!
If you think what I've said is impossible or can't be true, then remember which country you live in and remember what else New Labour have done since 1997. And then, think again, buster!
It's entirely possible that any one of us in the UK may need to claim sickness benefits at some stage.
Ask yourself how you'd feel if you were placed in this position and you had to go through an ATOS assessment. Frightened? Disgusted? Angry? So are the people who've had to sit one.
This may be the first video clip concerning ATOS Healthcare, and the matter I mention within it. I'm genuinely surprised that there aren't more, and I have a feeling it won't be the last.
I'm sorry if I speak accented (can't help that!), or too quickly or keep changing back-and-forth between subjects. This is purely because of the amount of ground and background information to cover. Even in its condensed form, the clip is still in two parts and runs at 17 minutes altogether.
One final point, this is worth a read if you've been stung by Atos.

Also, do a google search for 'consumeractiongroup help me take atos to court' - that story's a shocker, and has some pertinent information contained.

if the DWP claims that ATOS makes the final decision and ATOS claim they do not,
surely this means ( in the eyes of the DWP ) that ATOS have lied/got it wrong ,
there for how are the DWP able to agree with the decision ATOS makes

The DWP once claimed (in respect to my first assessment of two I've had so far) that it was Atos responsible for the final decision - a complete fabrication as I already knew that it was ultimately down to a box-ticking DM.
I still retain that letter somewhere, and it's clear evidence that the DWP have told an outright lie.
But, it's ironic and not at all surprising that the DWP should get in a private firm to assist them who are every bit as dishonest in turn.

Correct - the DWP can't agree with the Atos report, because they do not know what the circumstances are.
People are specifically told NOT to send in further evidence with the ESA50 form (that pink one they send prior to booking your medical).
It's also telling that they've booked another medical for me in the near future. I should imagine it'll be a very short medical - I never sent an ESA50 back to them. Clearly then, it's been loaded towards booting me off.

My Uncle recorded his assessment -which proves the NURSE lied and it the audio did not match the medical assessment form she filled out....at the appeals they did not want the recording! which proves the Nurse lied in final paper work

Email Philip Hendry at the BBC about it - if the appeals process is also loading it against the patient, then that is serious in itself, and it certainly warrants attention. I'll also be audio-recording the appeal, whether they like it or not.
