This is a music video for Bud Petal's song "The Ballad of the Chimp". It tells the true story of Nim Chimpsky, the chimp they tried to turn into a child (by teaching him sign-language).
Bud Petal's album, "Turtledoves & Oatstraws", is available from www.budpetal.com.

The photos are taken from "Nim: A Chimpanzee Who Learned Sign Language" by Herbert S. Terrace (1987, Columbia University Press) and "Nim Chimpsky: The Chimp Who Would Be Human" by Elizabeth Hess (2008, Bantam Publishing)
Fucking shit.

@mixwork People aren't dunderheads for not liking it but for not respecting it as an artform and being rude in th comments. There is a perfectly good option of watching another video or just saying "not my thing." If people want to complain every time someone tries something different then it's their own damned fault when every artist left sounds the same as each other.

Nice concept, well executed. But wherever in the world did you find Tiny Tim? That was him singing, wasn't it?

Hideous! You are clearly just capitalizing on Nim's name and have no respect for or understanding of the subject. Shame on you.

Sounds kind of like Syd Barrett. (No, not as good...)

It's just a funny song, you dorks, have you no perspective on life in general or are you under the age of 35.

Having a phd does not make you a singer or performer,i can't believe you would compare this to picasso...he might be a genius of some kind but a lot of people all over sydney watching and hearing this don't appreciate this artists 'music'. Don't call people dunderheads for not liking what u like. russfw

You folks don't know a genius when you hear one. This guy has a PHd and pushes ideas into places and forms that only a visionary could. You commenters are the equivalent of the dunderheads who criticised Picaso for painting unrealistically. Fortunately, folks from all over Sydney are watching and hearing this and appreciating the brilliance behind it.
