@AppallingRetroTrash ...Definately 19 c. steampunk, but I always thought it was pretty cool. If Atlantis was the advanced civilization it was supposed to be, maybe they did exist, Sometimes you just gotta suspend belief, go with the flow and enjoy a movie for what it is,

Well, I miss the man-beasts, the triangle arena and the death-ray frying the bad guy, but this has the cool big idol, the submarine and the final destruction. Campy pulp at its best. Yes, it's far from George Pal's finest but I loved it as a kid.
