2011 Buick Regal CXL

This has a 2.4L 4 Cyl making 182 HP while paired to a 6 speed auto.

This may seem like a decent combo on paper but propelling the Regal's 3600 lbs + a 200 Ibs driver which is the American Average, propelling this car will be a struggle for this engine.

There is an optional 2.0L turbo 4 cyl which is the recommended Engine of choice if you want a Regal, but by no means will it also be a total screamer on the road because of the heavy weight.

  • What kills it is its lack of Torque. The 3.8L naturally aspirated may only produce 180 or so hp but it has a nice 220 foot pounds of torque to get you off the line. 172 foot pounds of torque with the 2.4 ecotec just does not pass mustard, especially for the weight of this car. A V6 should have been an option, Good Lord its a Buick!

If I was to get this, it would definitely be the GS with the turbo.

  • @Allante715 The Turbo engine should've been standard IMO

  • 182hp? This thing is weak.

  • @SubieSean

This is a Luxury Car & this engine is out of place here. The 2.0L Turbo engine shouldve been the base engine & probably the 3.6L V6 GM has which makes 280 HP +.

  • the 2011-present Buick Regal is assembled in

    Rüsselsheim, Germany (2009 - February 2011)

Oshawa, ON, Canada (February 2011 - Present)

  • one thing that rlly bugs me about the car is the cheap hard plastic centerpiece of the steering wheel, even the buick emblem on the steering wheel is made of cheap plastic and it's just staring at you in the face.

  • most of the places you'll have your hands on in the car is gonna be soft, the cheap hard plastics are found on the lower end, but for the value the car's pretty good.

  • electronic parking breaks.

    those seem dumb.

  • Thumps up for having an ASHTRAY from me & I dont even smoke. I still prefer an ashtray in the car

  • "mercy on my BITCH" LOL!!
