November 13, 2008 - Prime Minister Stephen Harper gave his first major address since the federal election at the Conservative Party Policy Convention in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Harper highlighted the party's recent successes, and told supporters the 'Conservative Party is Canada's Party'.

They did a smear campaign here in BC against the conservatives during the national election. Trying to tie the conservatives to anything bigoted etc. They even attacked one conservative for suggesting that gay people don't need their own version of the bill of rights.They attacked another conservative because she once gave a speech at a school in Canada that got a donation from a man who allegedly had ties to terrorists. This, on news program that was at the time boasting about a national award!

@lalunette The sooner Canadians see him for what he is the better. I agree then they will vote him in again with another majority. You should vote for harper next time. I know deep down you want to. You will feel so much better. Come join the winning side. It's like they say if you can't beat us join us.

@backtosleep I am only highlighting the fact that MORE Canadians voted against Harper than agasint any other politicians in the past and yet he and his cronies are in charge (and I use the word loosely) of Canada.

The sooner Canadians see him for what he is the better.

@SSFTC "sooo your french" No, I'm a Canadian, of French background. I also have Ojibwee and Irish in my ancestry. If you find the language barrier a bit much you should endeavour to learn Canada's other official language, as I have done. I also went to university and studied political science so I understand where Harper's hate for all things liberal comes from and why he is out to destroy the Canada I know and love. Can you say the same?
