How do you detect tempos of an instrumental?
BlackEvoProductions 8 months ago
@BlackEvoProductions You can use something called "Identify Beat". I'll have to do a video on it.

Hey man i got a quick question here i hope you can help me with.
I've used the Beat Detective on quite a few parts on a project I' m working on (sing protools 8) and it seems that when i consolidate all my regions i seems to lose smaller chunks of audio from my drums. Any idea as to why this might be happening or a way around it?
Nickeoso 10 months ago
@Nickeoso Not sure I follow. After you "separate" and "conform" your audio in Beat Detective make sure you also do "edit smoothing" before you consolidate.

@recordingrevolution Sorry, I did do that just forgot to mention. But that's why i think it's wierd, i use the smoothing in beat detective "fills and crossfades", I can play it back from that point and it sounds good, no disconnecting audio, but it's only after i consolidate it does it disappear :(

@Nickeoso That IS bizzare. If you smooth it and playback and it all sounds great. Then what you consolidate is what you should be hearing. Could be a bug. Are you on the latest DOT release of version 8? Check Avid's support page.
