  • I have been a registered nurse since age 22 and a man. At 22 my friends and family said a man can't be a nurse and I said watch me. I did a 3 year hospital RN program and graduated in 1982,subsequently a post RN BSN and my MSN so I could be a nurse educator. The first time I saw this video tears rolled down my cheeks. I showed this to my family and they went WOW look at you now. Thanks J & J and nurse educators everywhere for the recognition and this beautiful video. I'm humbled to be one.

  • I will also graduate as an MSN in education in December and I am so excited to begin teaching. I love it!

    nt

  • I will have my Masters Degree in Nursing Education in less than 2 months and I can't wait!!!! What a great video by J&J !!!

  • I will be a Certified Nurse Educator one day. I can do this! (repeating)

  • "when youre sick of all the crap of bedside nursing.. BECOME A NURSE EDUCATOR!!!" =)

  • This video is so great and accurate. I have been an RN for 20 years. I am a nursing clinical professor. I think of the educators that have inspired me and my practice is enriched because of them.

  • Some days, as a nurse educator, I wonder whether I make a difference and this video helps to let me know that I do!

  • Wow, As a nurse educator in a hospital, this almost brought me to tears. I love my job but never thought that most people even recognized the fact that we are indeed nurses. Thank you for such a tribute and I hope that all of my nurse educators from years ago have seen this to recognize them for all of their hard work and dedication.

  • Shely, you'll never forget them!

  • WOW! 35 years ago?!

I think my nursing instructors are amazing! Ellen Johnson RN and Judy Junker RN!
