Just go to avic411 . com there is details on how to do the bypass. It is real easy. Just a matter of pulling the mute wire out and putting it in the slot below and grounding it.

man just hook up the light green brake wire and hook it up to the ground black wire and it will be bypassed all the time

hi- i bought a car mazda3 2006 with that thing it it- and i kinda know whats it can do but but when i switch to map it just tells me my address i cant put in a adress for it to tell me how to get there- well i thiknk its cuz i need to take the car down the street cuz im not driving it yet or do i need to do install that cd it came with?

i do, take pin number 1 on main connector and ground it....also take the lime green wire for parking brake and ground it too.....you unit is bypassed....DONT USE SOFTWARE

ive seen those instructions but still not clear on what grounding it means. do i put the mute wire in the other slot then gorund the other end. and what do i ground it too? something metal?

There's a sticker on the bottom (void if removed). You just peel it back and there is a small black switch that you slide to the far position. You can also carefully slip a paperclip through the opening on the bottom and slide it without removing sticker... or just heat the sticker with a blowdrier to remove it without jacking it up. (Just make sure you flip the switch back before sending it in for any repairs later on- should you need them) Check out avic411 dot com for sure.
