Liao Zhai consist of six different stories, this being one of them. This part is about a Fox demon luring men and taking their souls so she can give it to the Tree demon who is keeping her captive. One day she meets a passing 'mailman', who touched her with his generosity. But many factors keep them apart, and throughout the 6 episodes they are struggling to be together. Yes, very short just 6 episodes! This is a very serious story. Hardly any comedy, many sad moments but not enough to produce tears.
This part of the story very closely relates to Chinese Love Story starring Daniel Chan and Barbie Xu, just shorter.
