Fay wouldn't ever have ended up with Chii, for various spoiler-y reasons. In all honesty, if he ends up with anyone, he will be with Kurogane. Again, spoilers, but they're willing to give up a lot for each other. You should check out the manga, you can read it online at onemanga(dot)com, and is completely up to date on chapter releases.

@pinkeevee1995 To answer your question, yes. Now let me ask you: have you ever heard war stories from a veteran? People can develop a really close relationship and even love someone without it being a romantic relationship.

As the manga goes, while those things can be interpretted as a homosexual relationship, it's never verified, just as my theory about them having a strong brotherhood is never verified. It's left open for the reader to decide, meaning we have no canon answer. Get over it.

@ArcaneArts Have you read the WHOLE MANGA?If not stop reading here...Their is a lot of basis for KuroFai. Kurogane CUT OF HIS ARM(and threw away a d@mn good sword,mind you)to save Fai! Plus Fai was CRYIN OPENLY AND SHAMELESSLY his heart out after this saying" If he dies...if he dies ill be..." He was really panic and completly balling his eye out PLEADING for them to hurry "Hurry!Hurry! Kurogane is going to die!After Kurogane woke,Fai then traded the LAST OF HIS MAGIC fo a new are for kurogane.

@Sparrowgirl123 Uhm. No. THe manga keeps them travelling together, but it never hooks them up. It nevers gives a canon answer whether they go gay for each other or if Kurogane hooks up with someone in Japan and Fai inevitably finds someone-or, shoot, even stays single all his life. Sorry KuroXFai fans, but there's no canon conclusion to that one. It's left to the reader to decide.

Personally, I think all y'all KuroXFai fans are a little creepy, so I'll take the second option.

I know this is a little to late, but Fai ended up with Kurogane as far as canon goes.
