Hi Aaron, Watching your Elinor Smith video for the umpteenth time. It intrigues me each time I watch it. I may have mentioned to you early on the Elinor was a family member to us here on the east coast of the states. She married into the family and her history would be mostly long gone for it not being redocumented by you. Hooray for you Aaron. We've been sharing it throughout the family so her memories remain with us. Ron

What an amazing woman and that there is so much movie documentation of her through still photos and movies still today. She showed that women can do what they want. What a great example! I learned of her through Tamil Lewis Brown's book, Soar, Elinor. If you like this you should check it out.

Oh this is just superb editing, great tribute to a recently deceased Aviatrix pioneer, and a snappy 1920s history lesson of a flappers triumph over another position held by men. What an era! Love your newsreel format. Love your rare Dirigible footage too. Love that you found a picture of her sleeping for the fade out. Title should read: "Aaron Elevates Elinore to Lucky Lindburg Lady" Great!

What gal ! I recall her name from a list of female aviation pioneers.

Excellent job.
And that was famous aviatrix Bobbi Trout with her in a couple of those photos. She and Elinor flew the endurance flight together in November of 1929: 42 hours and 3.5 minutes. Look up Bobbi Trout AND look up the new documentary called "Breaking Through the Clouds" now available on DVD to see Elinor in her last filmed interview in which she talks about the 1929 First Women's Air Race.

SwimmerinBlue- When Elinor soloed she was the youngest pilot in America, boy or girl.
Thanks, Aaron for this beautiful tribute to Elinor- a daring pilot and a great lady.
Can you tell me anything about the music? Obviously it's a modern band performing in the style of the '20s. They're very good!
