Matin Responsory by G. P. de la Palestrina. This was our choir's opening hymn on Dec 2, 2007 and it was sung in the choir loft.

  • We are doing this for our Advent Carol Service. I agree with ekchan, a most difficult tenor line.

  • MAGICAL AND MAGNIFICENT FOR ---SINGING--- THIS

simply song--- EH YEH--- THANKS SCOTLAND 2010

  • WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are also performing 2 Sundays from now. It is not an easy piece to learn, but we lean on each other! Thanks for posting!

  • We're performing this this Sunday... lovely work. I have to cant. I worry.

  • I absolutely agree, really challenging Tenor part. Our multi generational choir does this every year. I'm a tenor and lead with the children trebles following each successive turn. It's wonderful. Hopefully we can get it n You Tube this year.

I also recommed Missa Papae Marcelli by Palestrina - simply divine.

  • Very beautiful...WOW!

  • Beautiful - thanks for sharing from your neighbor (Buffalo, NY) Lance

  • Good effort. Probably one of the most painfully difficult Tenor parts i've ever had to learn in life. Good job guys. In case you guys are interested, other works by Palestrina i recommend are "Exultate Deo" and "Tu Es Petrus."

  • Words sung in this video: Matin Responsory by Palestrina: Go ye out to meet him and say. Tell us, art thou he that should come to reign over thy people Israel? High and low, rich and poor, One with another, go ye out to meet him and say: Hear, O thou shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a sheep. Tell us, art thou he that should come? Stir up thy strength, O Lord, and come to reign over thy people Israel.
