The very last scene does have a lovely kiss between Wentworth and his lady love. I must respectfully disagree, however, that it was the most romantic kiss ever. That honor I bestow to the kiss in the last scene of North and South (2004).

@TheLadyVictorian Jane Austen's main characters always had a happy ending, she made sure of that. Despite the disappointments she had in her life, she made sure her books would be almost fairytale like.
