Supremes - There's A Small Hotel (Original Stereo)

Celebrating now over 50 years of Motown music with one of the last recordings the original three Supremes members (Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, and Florence Ballard), "There's A Small Hotel". The song was recorded in 1967 as part of a collection of Rodgers & Hart show tunes with the intent by Motown to showcase the Supremes singing music that would appeal to a more sophisticated audience. The Supremes had already made an appearance at the Copacabana in New York, and they wanted to broaden their musical horizons. Shortly after the completion of this album, Florence Ballard left the group to be replaced by Cindy Birdsong, and the Supremes would continue, but would now be known as Diana Ross & The Supremes. The song itself was composed by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart in 1936 and introduced in a Broadway musical entitled "On Your Toes" (and later used brilliantly by conductor/arranger Nelson Riddle in the 1957 film "Pal Joey" starring Frank Sinatra).
