Great maneuverability in confined jobsites.

When space is tight and there are obstacles at every turn, it might look like youve discovered an impossible jobsite. The D9x13 Series II horizontal directional drill easily handles jobs in confined spaces, turning difficult jobsites into finished projects.

At a mere 35.5" (90.2 cm) in width, the D9x13 Series II has the narrowest footprint in its class. But its compact size doesnt mean weve skimped on the power. The unit is powered by a 47 hp (35 kW) Kubota diesel engine that provides 9000 lb (40 kN) of thrust pullback force and 1300 ft-lb (1762.6 Nm) of torque.

  • Typically this machine would not be utilized for this application. I would recommend our D20x22 Series II FX flex-angle drill which is capable of drilling at 18-90 degree angles. Plus it would be better suited for these rocky conditions. We have a video posted on our channel for this drill as well as information on Vermeer.com.

  • Does a machine like that or a bigger one can go through tough rock to instal a gravity sewer pipe of 8 inch

  • how much does it cost and how do you send it to europe ?

  • goes good except when you're tracking and trying to turn :( . but i do do like the all rubber tracks vs the 7x11 rubber on steel. the placement of the gauges is nice too so you don't have to look away from the work area. not much power when it picks itself up though. all in all nice rig especially with the extra 100' of rods.

  • why not set one up against steep mtn, turn down and set submersable pump and use as water well. Can it go 45 degrees thru fractured with a 4" drill for 3" case 200 ft?

  • I want one. $working on getting there.

  • better get a rod wiper on that thing, your gonna get dirty :-)
