M1330 Specs:
Intel Core2Duo T8300 2.4GHz 2GB
NVidia 8400m GS 128MB driver 185.20
Microsoft Windows Vista 32bit SP2 beta

HowTo:
-update driver to latest available
-update game to 1.0.4
1. delete all files inside folder:
c:\users\***\appdata\local\rockstar games\gta iv\settings
2. in c:\program files\rockstar games\gta iv\
create file called: "commandline.txt"
in file write:
-width 512
-height 320
-availablevidmem 1.2
-minspecaudio
-nomemrestrict
-norestrictions
3.PLAY!

i tried many settings this one works best, it has some glitches but overall its very playable (around 20 fps).
its possible to make better graphics to work at 20 fps but after some time it will stuck occasionally for few second (probably heat problem).

  • Alright theres a little more u can add to your commandline but its mainly going to come down to how to how far you can overclock without ur GPU overheating, thats the main thing that is going to cause the stuttering, what are your specs? Also u should try the edited shaders from RealityIV makes the game look a lot better and runs a lil faster

  • @DarkStar1O9 i dontt play this anymore but thanx anyway, when gpu overclockes too much it just shuts down in middle of games (from my experience) but after reset its working again

    (specs in description)

  • is your gpu or cpu overclocked ?

    pls help

  • here mate i have the same laptop u have and im about to get gta iv but im just making sure that im not wasting my time so it is possible? ive got gta vice city, san andreas and bully and they work fine i read the description and all i have to do it mod the settings? i will try it

  • you card have 128mb and run this game??? for example i have card nvidia geforce 8400m gs with 256mb

my card will run that game?

  • @oleg7g dam dude i wrote that comment like a month or two ago, an u just replied now anyway i sold that laptop and bought another idk about warranty i dont want the headake of waiting to repair my laptop

  • @oleg7g Yea we have the same specs definitely needs a moderate overclock to run smooth, main thing you want to do is check your GPU temps and make sure its not overheating (+100C) and if you can keep those temps down it'll run fine. I suggest thermal grease and a cooling pad, i'm getting my GPU heatsink fixed this week so I should be able to run a higher overclock without my card throttling like before, I'll post up a new vid once its fixed. (btw try the new superman mod its awesome)
