GAZA: Behind the scenes

Following the outbreak of the recent conflict in Gaza and southern Israel on December 27, 2008 and then Israel's ground invasion of Gaza on Jan 3, Amnesty International delegates traveled to the region on Jan 8th. There, they began to research allegations of war crimes and others serious violations of international law by Israel, Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups.

This video is about the preliminary findings of our fact-finding team in Gaza.

How are these people going to rebuild?

How will they eat?

Who will come to their aid?

Who will bring justice for the dead?

I am sickened by these acts and by those who come to this place attempting to justify the inhuman evil that has been perpetrated.

Where is the compassion?

These times are dire, not just for the Palestinians, but for all. What has happened to these people has been tolerated for far too long.

I believe war crimes were committed by Israel. I'm tired of the blind support the US gives Israel. It needs to stop.

Dr Shlomo Sand has research the history of the Khazarian people. No one denies now that the Palestinian people are God's chosen people and that the israelis have no historical connection to Palestine.

The israelis must be charged for war crimes; they must pay compensation and they must leave Palestine and return back to Russia.

Setting aside an obvious inability to discuss crimes objectively - Where do you expect people under seige to go when leaflets are dropped telling them to flee? It is a bit hard to believe you are really so blinded, but I often can't believe the effectiveness of US indoctrination either.

Yes, being done deliberatedly, not as a indirect consequence of war.

Before a militar operation is carried in inhabited zone, clear warnings should be given, e.g spreading leaflets from airplanes., as we did in Gaza.

Storage of ammunition in civil houses is a crime of war.

Launching missils from schools is a crime of war, the same done from civilians concentations like UNRWA shelters.

Our legitimic right to block our borders is not a crime.

Killing innocent israelis in attack terrors are crimes.

Launching missils over our territory and cities as it is been done even after Januar opperation is a crime.

Refugees. At 1948 there formed two movements of refugees.

Arab refugees from former British Mandate toward Arab countries and Jewish refugies from Iraq and yemen to Israel.

And they added to European Jewish refugees that survived the hollocaust

We rehabilitated ours. There are not Jewish refugees today.

Israeli Arabs enjoy free movement.

Palestine Authority are not permited to enter Israel for security reasons.

Every country in the world controls its border. e.g Mexicans in USA.

If I am not permitted, as an Israeli, to visit Syria or Iran, am I being punished?
