By the way, youtube has had an inbuilt anti-shake function for ages. Worth looking at.

Of course it could be photo shopped, or a window reflection... Other evidence to look for would be antenna arrays nearby, and anomalous seismic activity (no problem there!) since this technology seems to be associated with seismic events. It is mostly associated with HAARP technology. I suspect that this technology is used a lot, but in most cases the conditions are such that the ionisation cannot be seen. Hope that helps.

This glowing spot acts as a radio mirror, and is then used to reflect another radio beam around earth's curvature. In the Israel and Tromso cases, the arrays scanned a particular area, in a spiral motion. Combined with air motion, a trail of ionisation can be seen. In the Christchurch case there is no scanning involved, but various rings, doubling and tripling could be a result of atmospheric inversion layer refraction of the beams, which is common in Canterbury.

This reminds me of the Tromso spiral, 9th Dec 2009, and the Israel spiral 7th June 2012 - both were claimed by the Russian military as missile tests. Both appear to be ion clouds in the ionosphere caused by ionosphere heaters, which are ground-based arrays of low frequency radio antennas. They can set up an EM interference pattern and focus a maximum node into the ionosphere, and pump a lot of energy into it, creating an ionised cloud.
