UNESCO World Heritage sites includes some of the most beautiful, famous and historic landmarks around the world, from Australia's Great Barrier Reef to Egypt's Pyramids. But there are some that you may not have heard as much about--like Peru's "geoglyphs" of Nazca or the ancient center of Edinburgh. NBC Travel Editor Peter Greenberg shares some of his favorite UNESCO sites from around the world.

  • @TheBlackRite IT'S 1.37 LONG! It's aimed at people who've never heard the term before.

  • @minghan05 It's a 1.37 video you stuck-up idiot. He doesn't say these are his favourites, he said one of them was and he was obviously picking a handful of examples that people would know and which they could get video footage of. The video is aimed at people who don't know what 'world heritage sites' are. I hate people who react like you for ridiculous reasons. Keep your stupid opinions to yourself.

  • very interesting!! good :) enjoyed it

  • peter is a caucasian that probably has only been to europe and so all his world heritage sites and opinions are 'eurocentric" . Is that any wonder that his world heritage sites are all in euro or at best in the middle east and that just bec he has watched indiana jones. There are many more world heritage sites around the world spread across Asia, Africa and Middle East. I have been to other world heritage sites that are even more "spellbounding" and "jaw-droppingly magnificent that his favs.

  • go UNESCO!

  • hmm interesting how he fails to mention even one of the dozens of world heritage sites on the continent of Africa. Great Zimbabwe, one of the greatest stone structures in the world, Jenne Mosque Architecture in MALI, Loropeni stone structures in Burkina faso, Pyramids and stone temples of Nubia and many other. ALl with World heritage status. But is it surprising these get the silent treatment? No. Not to anyone alert to the reality we live in.

  • Ha Ha Ha

  • it's got "The worst toilet in Scotland"

  • too short, this list!
