A silly little edit I made for the 1993 BBC VT Christmas tape "Grim Fairy Tales", having a bit of a go at Producer Choice... and the badly colour-graded episodes of Scarlet we'd received from "outside"...

  • I needed a laugh today and that did very well - great stuff.

Who did the voices for you?

  • Glad you liked it. Apart from the female announcer and the "Oh sh*t" it was all me.

  • OOOH SIIIIIIIIIIR!

  • *cough* actually it's "Oh sh*t"...!

  • This is brilliantly funny, I hope however that the exaggerated colour effects in this particular video were done for comedic purposes and weren't an accurate reflection of the series as broadcast in the 90's.

  • It was exaggerated for this video, however the transfers used on transmission did have an overall magenta cast, which is what inspired the making of the thing in the first place. The more recent transfers done for DVD were much better colour graded.

  • Great impressions - especially the Captain Scarlet one.

  • Super stuff - hopefully a training film for all would be Spectrum Agents

  • Could you upload the whole christmas tape?

  • "well if your captain scarlet who have I sent on the suicide mission?" "OH SIIIIIIR-" BOOOOM!

    LOL!

This is hilarious stuff! Gerry Anderson could learn a thing or two from this its so good!

  • Thanks for the very detailed reply, I've only ever seen 'Scarlet' via the DVDs as far as I can recall, for I was only three years old when these prints were broadcast, I doubt I would've been interested in colour consistency then or know what it was for that matter ;)
