Fox News, whose coverage has repeatedly crossed the line separating news and legitimate commentary from political activism and demagoguery, has aggressively promoted the anti-Obama "tea party" protests both on- and off-air and has repeatedly encouraged viewers to get involved. Its par for the course for a network that has been seized by a culture of conservative paranoia that has run rampant since President Obamas inauguration, with its hosts accusing the president of every -ism in the book and making increasingly dire predictions about the consequences that Obamas policies will have for the country. Fox News unprecedented promotion of a political protest has not been lost on other news networks.

Let me see if I got this straight: Promoting one political party over another makes you a fair and balanced news organization? Sounds about right for this clown show.

Its giving me 100 characters to respond and jumbling the comment stream. I'm kind of curious why, actually... We'll have to play lefty vs. righty some other time, or over msg.

Gates' is corporatist overall but his stances on many things are Liberal. And could care you elaborate on which experience you has given you the impression Liberals don't care about the lives of others, specially soldiers. It's the establishment machine sending people to war that they disagree with.

It's a generalization based on experience. And no, Gates is no "liberal." More recently, he's become one of the most open critics of OWS and of the far-left.

Liberals are terrified of duty, work and patriots?! Some of the most successful business in the history of the world have been Liberal, again stupid point. I'm sure you've heard of Bill Gates.

From the way you speak about Liberals, O the scary useless Liberals, I can tell you watch too much Fox News.

And no, they do not make light of soldiers. They acknowledge that the people who send them into war do not care for their well being.

Are you serious? Most liberals are terrified of the "conservative" military, let alone things like duty, work, and patriotism. They make shallow appreciation of vets and service, as they cut their bennies and bring them home to zero jobs and ubiquitous drugs... sad really. It's too damn awkard every time you see Obama next to someone in uniform who isn't a padded ivy league case.

I love how Fox News "promoted" the tea parties by reporting on them; but when the unpopular OWS movement came along, the media salivated and drummed it up bigger than it really was.

Until the truth came out... that it was just a bunch of bums defecating on police cars.

The biases become so obvious its pathetic.
