President James Casey pilots company SVT Lightning at Fontana, testing DROPTAIL tailgate spoiler. Initial laps with tailgate closed weren't as fast or stable as subsequent laps with gate opened into spoiler position, when he was able to really turn on the heat. Results showed product makes an advantage by posting higher lap speeds through improved aerodynamics, while spoiler generated downforce stabilized rear end on the high bank super speedway oval at nearly 140mph. Posted standings showed vehicle ranked in top 10% overall (HPDE 4 transponder equipted vehicles) of annual event, and #1 in its class (HPDE 3) beating 911 Porche, ZO6, SS Camero, 350Z, SVT Cobra, BMW M4, amoung others (watch lineup). It's interesting, but it does constitute a "Movable aerodynamic device." if it were fixed, it might be legal for most racing series, but right now it's more a trackday toy.

@JimPrower It can be stopped and locked in any position at any time, which is was in the spoiler position for this track day. No need to retract for racing.

SRT10, SVT was a better handler out of the box, retained advantage with mods.
