Conflict is an opportunity for problem solving-because it is in this whole process of meeting and solving problems that life has its meaning. Its only from the pain of confronting conflict or problems that we can summons courage and wisdom. In fact, without conflict or problems, there would be no courage or wisdom.

Agreed, all human societies unite by defining/finding/creating a common enemy.

Not so much as a common good will, but a common enemy, which is pretty sad.

@Bracerjack He explains nothing about the actual dynamics of human history. One basic insanity of modern man is the abstract identities of Imperialism, nationalism, religion, and ethnic culture. All of which are used as an excuses for the commitment of genocide and atrocities. The fact is: all human societies define themselves by an enemy.
