on a personal note my son dan was in afgan in 06 and in 08 and his best mate gaz in in 45 commando and ref to the original sas training there founder david sterling was part of a commando group during ww2 and formulateed the idea in hospital while recovering from injuries on a training exerscise there training took the best bits from all the founded units commando and airborne and the l.r.d.g to create a totaly new special unit that every country has tried to emulate since

guys DONT need to be in for 2yrs to join 1 Para, thats NEVER been the case, infact they can go to 1 Para after passing out of training now, used to get guys from 2+3 Para. Dont know where you get your Walt info from, i mean i should know seein as how i'm in 3 Para.

yes ur right 2 chicks have passed the rmc course hell even a 55 year old man has but they havent bothered with the para training (for obvious reasons)
