El mandatario estadounidense sólo lleva ocho meses y medio en la Casa Blanca y ya representa un "aliento" para todo aquel que pueda contribuir a forjar un mundo más seguro, aseguró el presidente del Comisión Europea.
Para el presidente de la Comisión Europea, José Manuel Barroso, la atribución del Nobel de la Paz al presidente estadounidense, Barack Obama, "refleja las esperanzas que ha levantado globalmente" en torno a "un mundo sin armas nucleares".
Barroso destacó que el mandatario estadounidense sólo lleva ocho meses y medio en la Casa Blanca y ya representa un "aliento" para todo aquel que pueda contribuir a forjar un mundo más seguro.
En un boletín de prensa, el funcionario europeo agregó que la distinción también es "un reconocimiento de las expectativas creadas en todas partes por la determinación de Obama de trabajar estrechamente con los socios de Estados Unidos para dar respuestas globales a los desafíos globales de hoy en día".

Why would you want a nobel peace prize? They mean NOTHING! You can earn one just for being not-bush, you can get one for sponsoring terrorism, you can get one for lying about global warming....do you REALLY want to be one of those people?

That's true. They never give any worthy American any sort of prize, only their fellow Euros are ever honored. They hate this country which is why they love Obama - after all, he hates it too.
