In this great cartoon commercial the beetle is making fun of other cars with wings, fins, etc. to make it look better.
The message is clear: volkswagen never changes the car to make it look better, only to make it work better. That's why the looks of the beetle are never changed!

From the DVD 'Legend on wheels'. Wanna have this DVD packed with 2 hours of high quality digitally remastered old vw commercials? The DVD really brings you back to the '60s and '70s. Send an email to: beetlejuice150@hotmail.com

  • @hebneh but Cadillac did have some form of fins until 1999. fins in some form

  • I wonder what year this was released...some of those caricatures use actual elements of real cars (Cadillac, Pontiac). "You remember fins" implies that fins were no longer being made, which would be in the early '60s, as does the insult about 4 headlights or more being necessary. 3-toned cars pretty much were only marketed in 1955-'56.

  • LOL Good Call :)

  • Brought to you by the laziest design team besides Porshe

  • never said it wasnt a good car. they got bigger and they are not a big seller in this country do your own reserch.

  • @ramblergarage one of the biggest auto conglomerates in the world, do your research to avoid embarassment. Things, like cars will never be what they used to be, and if that is your point then i feel the same. But if you compare a modern v dub to the rest, v dub is still ahead

  • too bad VW didnt follow thier own advice, they might sell better today

  • Some cars stay the same and keep changing. VW keep changing and stays the same! :) LOL :D:D:D
