Warships are over rated. Fighters rule the sky.

Russian weapon systems: cheap, reliable, any moron can use it after a 15 minute tutorial. That's not an insult, it's damn impressive how that allows ancient Soviet hardware to keep on being relevant next to the ultramodern US stuff. The guys buying from US are the ones who don't want to lose people, i.e. the ones who cant just buy a million Kalashnikovs and hand them to a bunch of randos.

@SovietWarrior Most of the world buys it willingly because it's cheap.
Anyone with half a brain cell could tell you that.
Totally infallible? Oh, so all those accidents the Russian navy had with nuclear power didn't happen did they?

And who said the Cold War was over?

@fluffy1931, ultimately, we are both probably right some where. We just have to go back & reread where US went wrong. For example, donating all that steel to Korea(?) from WTC. I can, however, if histroy repeats itself regualarly, US will bankrupt. IS the gain in the middle east worth the current expense? There are others competing for that same resource, so other 'underling' as labeled, have improved on alternate fuels, (Brazil), yet, for all its prowess, US cannot adecuately engage biofuel?

@fluffy1931, this occurred when Russia tried to peg the Ruble on the dollar. Argentina tried same thing. Both collapsed, neither were in circulation long enough or not enough credit as deemed by the WB or IMF - run by (whom?). So the US was forced to request China's allowance unto the WTO, snubbing NAFTAs' partners, screwing MX out of it. Only, US never countered Chinas manipulation of its Yuan. US countered by manipulating the dollar, yet, could only do it so low w/o affecting its partners.

@Phantasmos keep sniffing glue dude the Russan Federation defaulted big time - Russian financial crisis (also called "Ruble crisis") hit Russia on 17 August 1998.
2008–2009 Russian financial crisis - crisis in the Russian financial markets as well as an economic recession compounded the plummeting price of Urals heavy crude oil, which lost more than 70% of its value since its record peak of $147 on 4 July 2008 before rebounding moderately in 2009. gtfoh

@fluffy1931, nah, look at the Water Gate Scandal, it was the bombing of Cambodia and the cover up by Nixon that did him in. As for Yeltzin, he yielded to the WB. Thats what forced the USSR to fold. IF indeed it is as you claim, then how was it possible that Russia recoverd so quickly. Argentina went thru the same thing, it tried to peg its peso to the Dollar, it bankrupted & recovered under 12 years. Today AR is barely catching up. Look at US today, 10 yrs later & look at our Financial Crisis.

@Phantasmos the USSR ( Russian Federation ) was 'ass raped' under former Pres. Yeltstin and it's own oligarchs with help from the World Bank.
Former US Pres. Reagan never supported renewable energy. Upon being elected Pres. Reagan promptly removed the solar panels installed on the roof of the white house by his predessor Pres. Jimmy Carter. You knowledge of US politics is questionable if not ridiculous.
Former US Pres. Nixon was forced to resign from office ie; Watergate Scandal Aug8, 1974
Actually, Russian weaponry is the best-value technology, totally infalllible. That's why most of the world buys it willingly. Only ones buying from US are sitting so tight on Uncle Scam's dick they don't have a choice. Like Israel.
