Tens of MILLIONS of Americans are NOT in a position to "choose"! People who work 2 jobs to feed their families can NOT "choose" $4 a loaf bread, $3 a doz free range eggs, apples for $1 each, $4.29 a gal milk, virgin olive oil @ $5 for 24 ozs or $6 a lb for organic beef. Not every American has a garden space, not even a balcony! Not every American has 1.8 kids. Not every American household has 2 earners. If you think people buying bad cheap food for their families don't CARE, think again.

The surprise is that starting a farmers market isn't too difficult. Most city councils will allow it an a parking lot or wherever if you promise to provide garbage pickup.
