Evil Dead II - Fake Criterion Cover

The Fake Criterions Tumblr has a "Faked From the Dead" event running all through October 2011, where one is invited to make a faux-Criterion Collection cover for 80s Horror movies.

When one says 80s Horror the film that jumps to mind for me at least is the classic "Evil Dead II". It's an awesome movie and I did a drawing and turned that into a cover.

Done with pencils and gel pens, scanned & coloured in Photoshop. I don't remember where I got the Criterion DVD Template from. Paper textures are from http://bashcorpo.deviantart.com and the music is a traditional jazz piece called "Jazz Traditional - Charleston" by Erik Markman. This music actually appears in the first Evil Dead movie but I thought it's still appropriate to use it here.

Video was shot on my Nokia N8.
