The model 1894 Winchester is the most popular lever action rifle of all time. Made from 1894 through 2007, millions of these guns were produced. Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, examines the features and options that make this rifle so special. The gun used in this video features a 26 inch barrel with a 9 shot tubular magazine. The stock is straight grip with a crescent buttplate. It is chambered in the 30-30 WCF cartridge.

  • 25/35 too.. like the 1915 we just got, ours is the carbine with saddle ring and 20 inch barrel. very good all original gun but unfortunately not worth much.. will be a great trick shot gun tho.

  • The Winchester even went to war. The Turks used it against the Russians. The Turks used two rifles. A Martini-Henry in .577/450 Boxer-Henry, a single shot rifle, and the Winchester 30-30, a nine shot carbine. The .577/450 was used at long-range. Because it was such a big bullet it could travel right through 3 or 4 solders at once. When the Russians got close and charged the Winchesters came out and fired very fast lever actions. Killing Russians very quickly and stopping their charge.

  • @oldschoolgreentube And demote him?!?!

  • Ron Paul/Potterfield 2012!

  • that's a gun that I'd own! how much?

  • How do you not love Larry Potterfield?

  • @pecospest mate sorry to inform ya but it wasnt the 25-35 it was the 25-20 1892 winhester

  • @TNbassfishing Yes, There are several manufacturers of scope mounts for the 94, I have a 94 carbine in 32 Winchester special with a Bushnell Banner 2.5 power scope that I use in heavy wooded areas for whitetail. the mount goes on the side of the receiver. The other option is to use a long eye relief scope and mount the scope in the "scout" position. That is the scope in front of the receiver.

  • Oh Oh Larry...among the classic 94 cartridges you forgot the 25-35 !
