(Feb 2, 2011) Day two of cancelled school because of extreme cold (current temp -15). I hunted for another extreme cold experiment to do with the kids, and came up with freezing bubbles. Not as cool as the vaporizing water, IMO, but still pretty neat!! Note, if there is a slight wind the bubbles fly away pretty fast and are difficult to catch. Also, it helps to warm the bubble solution slightly so you'll have a couple of tries to blow & catch the bubbles before the solution gets too cold and the bubbles freeze on the wand.
