Over Sized Boom Box(car stereo)

(Tutorial on how to do this as a video response)

this is my oversized boom box that me and my friend kevin made, check his page, kdizzle112, its pretty simple, just built a box, got a head unit, cheap speakers, and a computer power supply.... not much to say really

what are you talking about, are you saying that i am lyeing about how i have it ran? im not lying, car stereos run off of 12 DC current, as do computers, the power supply in a computer takes 120 AC. and changes to 12 DC. its correct. and if your suggesting to put a battery in it, no it would be even heavyer then it is now. i can assure you i am not lying, i put it on my mothers grave dude

i made something just like this a little bit ago. i crashed my car so i wanted to do something with all the parts.

-350 watt amp for the 2 12" subs

-600 watt amp powers 4 decent speakers

-head unit, lights, even an ipod dock

i just had to buy a 40 amp power supply to run it all. it weighs 150 pounds, i put it on wheels lol. i'm prolly gonna put a video up of it eventually, it's loud as hell

lol sub and amp up on it dude you better get a better power suplly or your gonna blow that little 500 watt psu i doubt wether it even feeds 10amps to 12 volt rail

if you do what your saying then you would bloat up that car battery with the trickle charge and create fumes in your house that are extremely dangerous, by far his way is much more safer and reliable then what you have suggested to do - tizer54
