Beth Sonnenberg has her class taste several types of citrus to teach sensory descriptive words, which the students then use to write Haikus about the fruit they've eaten. Both simple and fun, the kids are also exposed to healthy eating and nutrition.

  • i am waiting for the day when kids will all have ipads or such and can type their answer on them and it will show up on the board. kids need technology. we are moving away from handwriting, going the way of the dinosaur. give them power and technology to keep up with the rest of the world. i already use a smartboard in class and it is bit obsolete but handwriting is a no no in my class. just takes longer to convey a message and is outdated.
