@PredictableEnigma It's funny that what's probably a warning for a lot of people makes shibas even *more* compatible to me :)

I've wanted one for a long time, and my brother's getting ready to buy me one next year. The thing I'm most concerned with is getting the training right, like you said.

I love Shibas, but a warning to anyone who wants to get one:

Most of them act like a cat TRAPPED in a dog's body. XD

They're very smart and indepedant, so they may just blow you off when you try to train them. They're loyal and nobel though. They love thier owners immensly but are a bit shy or even antisocial around strangers. Of course, there is a (roughly) 20% exception to any rule when it comes to dog breed personality traits.
