Ducati Corse is a start-up, Silicon Valley way!

Believe it or not, at least for the ones, like me, who are not totally familiar with motorcycle racing, the Ducati race team dubbed Ducati Corse is a very small one compared to the "Japanese" like Honda or Yamaha. Inspite of its size, analogous to many start-ups in Silicon Valley fighting against bigger established players, the Italian race team leads the motorcycle grand prix MotoGP as the best team overall, best constructor and best rider with Casey Stoner. The Ducati Corse team were all in Silicon Valley today for the launch of Sandisk's Ducati line of flash memory products and more importantly for this week-end US Grand Prix at Leguna Seca/MotoGP race in Monterey! "We build more or less 35,000 motorcycles a year and the Japanese millions of bikes a year. So if you compare the dimensions of the companies, you better stay home!", joked Livio Suppo, Ducati Corse's project director (picture).
