Here is some footage of hummingbirds at the home of Tom Lamb. His wife liked hummingbirds. He keeps her memory alive by surrounding himself with hummingbirds. I saw dozens of people friendly hummingbirds zipping around his farm in Dixie, Washington.
I recorded this video when standing only inches from a feeder. I was so close that you can hear their wings flapping and their high-pitched chirping.
He lives in the small town of Dixie. If you are very eager to see his hummingbirds, I'll tell you where he lives. The best time to see them is near sunset when they are stocking up on sugar for the next day. If you sit really still and offer up a finger, they have been known to take a much needed break on your finger porch.
It was fun to watch the hummingbirds battle with the bees for the sweet nectar. The hummingbirds will look you in the eyes as they feed ... if you pay close attention, you can see them glancing over at me.
We're headed there today from the Tri-Cities. Great video - we're excited to see the little hummers!

If I lived next to you I'd asked Tom's phone number to interview him becouse is a very curious person. Images of your camera are very clear, beautiful job... but... for me give to birds food in that way is innatural. I know, I am too much radical but I don't believe if this was the right way. Tom would have been able to plant flowers and not an automatic distributor of nectar!
