........ (continued) which is the hardest metal on the market. It's made of top of the line material and is 5 times as big, which is why you get much more leverage, it doesn't come close to needing "clamping ears for a vice" like the "XD specific sight pushers." I've never even come close to having to use a vice for stock sights, my pusher creates so much more leverage it's ridiculous. It's a VERY new design, i've only seen this design of pusher once before and it was also made by a smith ;)

Also wanted to add, my sight pusher was designed my a gunsmith/toolmaker specifically for the XDs. their sights are NOTORIOUS for being stuck on there, so my sight pusher is ~5times the size of normal "XD specific" sight pushers. This gives you MUCH more leverage. The custom "XD specific" sight pushers have ears on them and are only 2" x 1 1/2" x 1/4" (not including clamping ears for vice) whereas my pusher is 2" x 2" x 5" of solid 6061 hard coat anodized aluminum & grade 8 screws.........

I've got the SA XDM Match 5.25 that I'm gonna send in to get them to do the "competition action job" on it.

Just keep in mind that if you're not using the XDm specifically for range shooting/competition shooting, they actually do not recommend getting this package for carry use AT ALL since the parts in it aren't as strong as they prefer for a gun that is meant to protect you, the internals can break on the trigger leaving you with a useless firearm. So i'd definitely go with the carry package if you carry the gun at all, not to mention the trigger job set @ 4lbs. already feels almost too light!

Good video. Been wanting to get a trigger job and new sights and I was thinking about sending my XD into the springfield custom shop.

If you have the sights and just need them installed, PM me on here or email me. I have a shop grade sight pusher and have been installing sights for a while now, i adjusted my own sights on my XD after i got it back from SA's custom shop because it was shooting ~1in. left @ 15yds., so i pushed the rear sight about 1/16th to the right and now it's shooting to POA! When installing sights i guarantee my work, if i scratch a slide (never have yet) i pay for it. I use flat rate shipping, ~3 days.

(Read bottom first) by USPS flat rate shipping for $5-7, and i charge 25$ for installation. After sending it back packaged and gas to/from post office i get a bit over 5$ which i put away just incase i ever scratch a slide i don't want it coming out of my pocket ;). If you have any questions feel free to ask, and give me your email so i can just email ou if you needed sight install job done on your gun. I have a custom built sight pusher specifically for XDs, but will work on others.

Hey Stimo3...I've got a question: What exactly is the point of a 10-12 pound trigger pull. Like what are the pros and cons of getting them to increase the pull weight to that heavy?

@RESlusher I wouldn't do the "comp. action job" unless the gun is just for shooting at targets/comp.. The trigger pull is too light for any type of SD/carry. Even the "combat action job" trigger is so light that I honestly wouldn't want it ANY lighter, it's already close to a hair trigger, the comp. would be too much. SA recommends it for comp. use only as well because not only is the trigger pull too light, but the parts they replace aren't strong enough for SD/duty.

The SA Custom Shop did a great job on my gun, I honestly wouldn't change a thing now. IMO the gun is pefect for carry/SD/duty. They REALLY did great work on fitting the Springfield Custom Match barrel to my gun! It fits so perfectly that when the slide is locked back the barrel doesn't even move barely, not even noticeable unless you look REAL close and actually move it with your hand, unlike the stock barrel which moved around forward/aft and side/side noticeably without touching it.
