With our great new logo, we'll be putting the 'spotlight' on a new topic each month. We're kicking it off for Autism Awareness Month (today is World Autism Awareness Day) with Holly Robinson Peete talking about autism, family and the power of performance.
Holly's son Rodney has autism (along with 1 in 110 kids). But that hasn't stopped him from being an activist, athlete, musician, and public speaker. Holly hopes to give all kids with autism the opportunities her son has had through her work with her foundation, HollyRod. And, what does Holly think about Unified Theater?
"There needs to be more of what you're doing. That needs to be everywhere."
Thanks for sitting down with us Holly! For more info about Holly and Rodney's foundation: www.hollyrod.org
This month, and every month, reach out to someone with autism - supporting or getting involved with a Unified Theater group is a great place to start! www.unifiedtheater.org
