Leitrim were crowned All Ireland Vocational Schools Inter-County B Senior Football Champions in Duggan Park in Ballinasloe today, when they defeated Limerick by 0-15 to 1-08.
Leitrim led by two points at the interval on a scoreline of 0-08 to 1-03. The Limerick goal came on nine minutes from Michael Brosnan, however, four points from Conor Beirne helped Leitrim to establish their half-time lead.

Leitrim moved six points clear by the half-way point of the second half as a brace of Brian Mulvey points and Conor Beirne's fifth point of the contest gave them a 0-13 to 1-04 cushion.

Limerick rallied to within four points of Leitrim but the Munster team finished with just 13 players after the late dismissals of Kevin Moynihan and Stephen O'Brien.

Jason Mc Loughlin received the cup from Michael Herr Connacht Council.
