I wouldn't call it a lie per se. It was simply an ignorant comment by a VERY ignorant woman. How pitiful our political system--once the envy of the world--has become a pissy little sitcom. If Palin ever did get elected (God forbid!) I truly think the CIA would take her out.

We have an enormous problem if you and I understand better than presidential candidates that their positions on wars are concluded with an incomplete understanding. ENORMOUS PROBLEM.
Perhaps... but the situation we have is an unwinnable war with a President who got elected on the premise that he was going to end the war not escalate it.

So it's a lie to base your position on what you know at the time instead of what will only be shown to you if your win. When you say that it is all "just talk" I can agree with you. But when you call it a lie, that again just shows that you are either too naive or too full of hate. Perhaps if W had done the job he was supposed to and captured bin Laden, Afghanistan would not be a problem now. But no, he had to fuck that up and invade Iraq.
