Newcastle began their pre-season with a 2-0 victory over Darlington.
Match was suspended for almost ten minutes following a pitch invasion after Sammy Ameobi's goal. Couple of minutes before that Newcastle supporters sang "If Sammy scores, we're on the pitch" and duly obliged. Alan Pardew and John Carver had to enter the pitch to calm things down.
