Contrary to what the media would like the world to believe, there are actually too many elephant in Africa. These high numbers of animals have a very destructive impact on their habitat and unless their numbers are controlled by humans these habitats may be destroyed beyond a point where it will recover again.
And yes, the meat will always be utilised.

More importantly, 1) was the cull justified/necessary? 2) was the meat utilized? 3) do the permit and related fees help elephant conservation in the long run? Take a wild guess...

Haha I had to watch it a couple times to see the arrow because I was not expecting it to just sink right into it haha man I bet you were scared before you shot it the first time haha looks like all the arrows would have done the trick, some great gear mate.

Actually, if you had any clue you would know that he is giving hunting a good name! A problem elephant can clear over an acre of farmland a day, which can be very bad. After the hunt the elephant fed over 300 townspeople, tell me how that is giving hunting a bad name. He did his homework, found out the most ethical way of taking an elephant with a bow, and executed it to a T!

@slapshot454 no it looks like you killed an animal just to do a big sell on some arrows and a bow. I would like to see you run for your life while some used one of those stainless steel arrows on you ass. like the buffalo that roamed the plains people like you will not be happy until there is nothing left or they are extinct. you can justify it all you want god didn't make that animal for you to kill because you felt like it. people like you will never be happy intil there is no life
