  • WOW!!I love movies like this. it brings back so of the way most of the things our grand parents would tell us that happen in there time.I think our young children need to see this movie.maybe a few will get it. and get back on track of doing the right thing with life.@ Mary is on the sound track its going to be incredible .

  • Being from the North, I grew up not knowing about segeration or nannies. This is a true story: My mom who was a Surgical Nurse in the Army WWII went to a laundry mat to wash her uniforms, but was disapointed that they could not be wash-being naive the sign that hung in the window, said WHITE'S ONLY ---NO COLORED'S--

so happy we are all one today---these Nannies were the salt of the earth!!! hugs..

  • i grew up in the south. i've known all of these women, the maids and the bosses. i can remember my babysitter, her name was yvonne. her boss, mrs. stroud, owned a daycare center..... but it was yvonne who watched all of us, fed us and cleaned up the house for mrs. stroud. i can remember being stunned that she had kids of her own at her house. sad.

  • I love this movie : )

  • Awesome nice song and good movie.just watch yesterday

  • such a good movie

  • @zarathustra420 Oh and another thing. The author actually gave her book to her brother's maid. The judge threw the ruling out because her maid waited a whole year before suing her. Thus when she realized how popular the book was, she wanted in on some of the money. Although I do agree that the author should at least acknowledge that some of the things in the book are inspired by her own personal story. Which I believe she does.

  • @zarathustra420 Did you read or even watch the help? The people who came out on top were the black maids. The white people weren't the saviors at all. Read it, or at least watch the movie before making an asinine comment like that.

  • just another made-for-white-people movie where white people are the saviors of black people. total garbage. oh, and Kathrynn Stockett (the author) used the identity of one of her family's maids without permission and refused to compensate her. how ironic. but then again, white people think they own everyone.

  • @Sarlinia its a fucking movie about a subject that has already been milked dry. You need to get out more if you were that "moved" by the movie

  • yeah... the lady ate.... watch the movie. hahaha

i think there were some loving white people. Celia was one and i loved her character haha. a ditzy fun blonde (maybe a fake blonde xD) and shes even much more fierce yet sensitive in the book. i love how she cared about everything close to her (which wasnt alot) and that was her husband and her first maid (MINNY !!) :)
