A concept animation of the Distributed Flight Array (DFA) that is being developed at ETH Zurich. This multi-rotor vehicle consists of autonomous single-rotor modules that are able to drive, dock with its peers, and fly in a coordinated fashion. The goal of this project is to have many modules assemble at random, fly to a predetermined altitude, hover, break apart, fall back down, and then repeat the cycle in a new configuration.
